46 PANGASINAN BARANGAYS SUBMERGED

THE Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) reported that Typhoon Carina left P8,866,218.35 worth of damage to agriculture and another P91-million damage to infrastructure as of July 26.

Gov. Ramon Guico III issued executive order declaring the suspension of classes in all levels, both for public and private schools on July 25 and 26 due to the inclement weather caused by ‘Carina’.

Latest updates:

• Eight barangays in Bani and another three in Burgos experienced power outages.
• 46 barangays in seven towns, one city were flooded: Lingayen (7), Mangatarem (8), San Fabian (8), Dagupan City (7), San Jacinto (6), Bugallon (6), Aguilar (3) and Binmaley (1).
• Not passable roads: San Nicolas Villa Verde Road (Pangasinan-Nueva Vizcaya Road), Sual (Victoria Spillway), San Manuel (Sto. Domingo), Mangatarem (Pampano- Mamparan) and (Dorongan Linmasangan), Bani (Quinaoayanan Foot Bridge), Alaminos City (Limasangan), (De Leon) and (Purido), Pozorrubio (Bobonan Bridge), Aguilar (Calsib), Urbiztondo (Malibong Isla), (Road Section, Sitio Caoile) and (Sawat ).
• A total of 214 families or 827 individuals in Sison, Urdaneta City, Burgos, Mangatarem, Infanta, Bani, Alaminos City and Labrador took temporary shelter inside evacuation centers.
• Despite heavy rainfall, San Roque Dam’s water level as of 4:00 a.m. Friday was 238.84 meters above sea level (masl). Its spilling level is 280 masl. No gates were open.
• Monitoring river situation: Calasiao (Marusay) was 6.5 ft, (7ft critical level); Sta. Barbara (Sinocalan) was 6.90 m (7.2 m critical); Mabini (Balincaguing) was 3.0 m, (7m critical); Bugallon (Bañaga) was 1.2 m (2m critical ); San Fabian Bued (Cayanga) was 6.9m, (8m critical);  and Camiling, Tarlac (Camiling River) was 5.88 m  (7-8m critical).  (Eva Visperas/Leonardo Micua)
