TEAM Chinoy, composed of Mike Sim, JJ Co and Marlon Calimlim, scored an aggregate of 14,629 pinfalls and emerged champion in the first season of the 1st Masters Triple Team League held June 15 to July 22 at the CSI the City Mall Bowling Center in Dagupan City.

The tournament, organized by Sim and the management of CSI the City Mall Bowling Center, was participated in by 9 teams and was played for six weeks with each team member playing 24 games or a total of 72 games per team.

Chinoy Team won P15,000 cash and the championship trophy.

Team G &CC composed of Greg Wilson, Charlie Boado and Catherine Ong with a total score of 14,572 pinfalls, was first runner-up and pocketed P8,000 cash prize with a trophy.

Team Justice composed of Gil Rosario, Sony Garcia and Pepito Sabalo bagged P4,000 cash prize was second runner up with 14,552 pinfalls.

Third runner-up was Team Timbog with 14,020 pinfalls, composed of Joel Meneses, Art Menor and Leo Dulay which collected P2,000. Fourth runner-up was Team Handicap composed of Elvin Saliungatan, Doy Banderlipe and Junior Romeo.

The second season of the tournament will start August 6 to be played every Tuesday, with bigger cash prizes at stake. Sim said 32 players already signed up to participate. (Leonardo Micua)
