Umingan NHS stops Tayabas in Baguio Volleyball tilt
THE Umingan National High School Boys Volleyball Team swept Tayabas City in their debut match in AB CAMP U18 Volleyball Cup that started on June 24 at the St. Vincent Gym, Naguilian, Baguio City.
Umingan crushed Tayabas City in two straight sets; 25-11, 25-12 behind the game-high 12 attack points of Michael Angelo Fernandez.
Around 1000 athletes from 52 various volleyball clubs across the country competed in the largest volleyball invitational tournament of Baguio City since the pandemic.
Led by Umingan head coach Eusebio Solis, the reigning PNVF U18 champions pulled off a convincing win in the opening day of the volleyball invitational cup.
“This is a great opportunity for us to sharpen the skills of the players and gain more experience by playing against topnotch volleyball teams in the nation”, said Solis. (Kim Gealogo)
