Mangaldan records 12 waterborne illnesses
THE Municipal Health Office of Mangaldan is currently monitoring a surge in waterborne diseases this rainy season.
Dr. Larry B. Sarito, the municipal health officer, reported his office is closely watching cases of W.I.L.D. diseases (Water-borne diseases, Influenza, Leptospirosis, and Dengue, following the recording of 12 cases of acute gastroenteritis.
Dr. Sarito reminded barangay councils to appoint key barangay health workers (BHWs) as barangay sanitary inspectors to help ensure proper sanitation within their respective jurisdictions.
Meanwhile, the MHO announced of free circumcision services from June to July, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mangaldan Infirmary and Urgent Care Clinic. (Ahikam Pasion)
