PDEA nabs 2 HVTs, seize 1.3-M shabu
TWO high value targets for drug peddling were arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in a buy -bust entrapment in Barangay Tombor, Binmaley town that yielded P1.3 million worth of suspected shabu.
PDEA Pangasinan Provincial Officer Rechie Camacho identified the suspects as Herodotus Marquez aka Dodo, 59, and Joseph Tadeo, 52, both residents of San Quintin town.
Camacho said PDEA agents nabbed the pair after the transaction at dawn of Monday, May 20.
Authorities seized four sachets containing 200 grams of suspected shabu, worth P1,360,000, the boodle and marked money used for the transaction, the motorcycle used by the suspects, and two cellphones.
In an interview, Camacho said that the suspects were already arrested years ago due to illegal drugs. Marquez on July 2014 in Santa Maria town, and was released on October that same year, while Tadeo was arrested in Mariveles, Bataan in 2010, and was released in 2019.
“Maco-consider natin na High-Value Individuals (HVI) ang mga ito”, said Camacho.
Camacho said they are probing if the arrested suspects are connected to previously arrested drug personalities yielding five to six-digit worth of illegal drugs in the province.
Both Marquez and Tadeo are now under PDEA custody, and charged for violation of R.A.9165. (Ahikam Pasion)
