Teacher arrested for allegedly molesting a Grade 6 pupil
A PUBLIC school teacher was arrested after allegedly abusing a grade six pupil in Santa Barbara town.
The pupil, 12-year-old boy, complained to local authorities, after he was allegedly abused by a teacher, Carlos Poserio, 36 years old resident of the town.
P/Lt.Col. Jun Wacnag, in an interview over Aksyon Radyo, said the minor and his parents went to the police station to file the complaint against Poserio.
Wacnag said according to the minor, he was called by the teacher on a Sunday morning, to rehearse for their upcoming graduation at East Central Elementary School in said town. To his surprise, however, he found out that he was the only one present.
Poserio allegedly called him, and urged the minor to sit on his lap, then began to molest him and allegedly proceeded to teach the pupil kid how to kiss, and began to kiss the pupil in a torrid manner.
The pupil broke off and ran.
After the complaint was filed, the police arrested the teacher, who refused to speak at any time, and was detained at the police station.
The Department of Education Division Office I has started a wider investigation, as other complaints began to surface on hearing about the arrest.
Wacnag said they will assist the DepEd in helping the child overcome his trauma.
