THE Alaminos City National High School Robotics and Research Team that won the Grand Champion Award and Titanium Award under the Innovation Category in the recently-concluded International Creative and Innovative Awards 2024 held in Bangkok, Thailand, received accolades from the provincial government.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan passed a resolution authored by First District Board Member Apolonia Bacay congratulating the three Grade 11 students: Thyronjay Palazo, Hugh Spence Sas, and Ram Allen Ranches for winning the Grand Champion Award and Titanium Award under the Innovation Category with their winning research output titled: “The Li-Det: Life Under Rubble Detector with IoT Capabilities.”

According to the team’s coach, Kris Cristhopher Dela Cruz, the entry was conceptualized under the Project EINSTEIN or Engaging Innovation by Nurturing Significance of Thousand Excellent Ideas in the North.

He added that the International Creativity and Innovative Awards 2024 was designed as a leading platform for young innovators through experiences of creativity and innovation organized in the form of online competitions and collaborations that are integrated into the World Creativity and Innovation Day (WCID). It was initiated by the United Nations as part of the celebration of creativity and innovation.

The ACNHS Robotics and Research Team already won other international and national awards and recognitions for their invention, which further established their reputation as pioneers in the field of robotics and research by showcasing their relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence.

“The Sangguniang Panlalawigan joins the whole Province in congratulating these young and talented inventors and their capable mentors who have made all Pangasinenses proud for such a feat,” the resolution added. (Eva Visperas)
