Sa Best Fil-Asian Cuisine natikman ang tulad ng Bangus Pad Thai, Nasi Goreng (bangus in Indonesian fried rice), Dadar Gulung coconut pancake with caramelized bangus filing, Indonesian bangus kilawin, Bangus Satay (Malaysia), Korean fried bangus, smoked sabahi sushi (tinapang bangus sushi) at fried noodles with bangus siomai.  Kasama si Bangusine Event Chair Councilor Dennis Canto, represented by Chef Daniel Canto, pinasalamatan ni Mayor Belen Fernandez at lahat ng mga participating schools who took the challenge for this year’s #Bangusine Bangus Culinary Showcase: University of Luzon, PIMSAT Colleges, STI Dagupan, Lyceum Northwestern University, Universidad de Dagupan and Philippine College of Science and Technology.

MBTF OFFICIATES THE FIRST-EVER SUNSET MASS WEDDING

WEDDINGS celebrate the union of two people by getting married; it also allows people to connect and bond with each other. Mayor Belen T. Fernandez adopted this principle by holding the first-ever sunset mass wedding of 30 Dagupeño couples at the River Grove Lifestyle Center in Barangay Lucao last April 18.

Mayor Belen officiated the ceremony, a part of the early activities for Bangus Festival 2024 said, “Here in Dagupan, we value our family and we congratulate you on your decision to start a new life as husband and wife,” she told the couples as she advised them to serve as role models to their children. Former Congresswomen Manay Gina de Venecia, Cong. Christopher “Toff” de Venecia, Vice Mayor BK Kua, 2024 Bangus Festival Hermano Mayor Councilor Marcelino Fernandez, Councilor Michael Fernandez, Councilor Bradley Benavidez, Former Councilors Karlos Reyna, Atty. HAPPY DEPLOYMENT!

ANOTHER batch of Grade 12 student-trainees from Saint John Cathedral School (SJCS) are welcomed on their first day of work immersion as student-trainees in the city government of Dagupan.

The students are working during the Bangus Festival 2024 celebration during their 5-day stay in different LGU offices or departments. Mayor Belen tasked City Human Resources Management Office Head Lana Balolong to assign the student-trainees in the different departments related to their academic track/strand to allow them to apply their specialization and applied subjects on a workplace relevant to their track. “Work immersion” is a key feature in the K-12 curriculum that involves hands-on experience or work simulation to become familiar with work-related environment related to their field of specialization and to enhance their competencies.
