Drug personality shot by unknown gunmen
A KNOWN drug personality in Dagupan City was shot by still unidentified assailants.
Victim Jason Baylon, 30, a resident of Barangay II-III in Dagupan City, was having a drinking spree with four others in front of his sister’s house in Barangay Caranglaan, when he was shot by motorcycle-riding suspects who immediately fled after the incident.
Baylon was able to run away, despite sustaining four gunshot wounds in different parts of his body. He was eventually rushed to a hospital, where he is currently recuperating.
Authorities recovered four empty shells from a caliber 45 pistol in the crime scene. Police are still probing on the incident.
Meanwhile, a39-year-old construction worker was arrested in Barangay Mayombo in Dagupan City in a drug-bust operation launched by PDEA and city police operatives.
Suspect was identified as Russell Tatad Torio, a resident of Barangay Maasin in Mangaldan town.
Authorities confiscated two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu from the suspect, weighing five grams with P34,000 street value and a loaded cal. 38 revolver. (Ahikam Pasion)
