SIXTEEN-year-old John Lash Pineda clinched a bronze medal in the Boys-200m-Backstroke during the Asia Open Schools Invitational Aquatics (AOSI) Championship last February 2-4, 2024 held  in Bangkok, Thailand.

Pineda clocked 2 minutes and 40 seconds in the 200-meter race against four swimmers from Krygyzstan, Myanmar, and the Philippines.

Pineda, who studies in PAMMA Learning Center also represented his swim club; Bert Lozada Swim School (BLSS) that sent 11 Dagupeño swimmers to the international tourney. (Kim Gealogo)
