LTO Dagupan license backlog increases

BACKLOG in production and distribution of driver’s licenses in Land Transportation Office (LTO) Dagupan Office is already more than ten thousand due to low supply of PVC cards.=

LTO Dagupan chief Romel Dawaton said the 10,600 backlog includes new applications, renewals, and student licenses.

The office stopped printing, leaving only 2,000 PVC cards remaining in stock.

Meanwhile, motorists will have to settle for a temporary driver’s license printed in a coupon bond. If damaged, motorists may ask for a reprint at the nearest LTO District Office.

Dawaton said that the printing of the remaining 2,000 PVC cards will be prioritized for their pending earliest backlogs – which also includes licenses of OFWs who need these as their official government ID’s overseas.  (Ahikam Pasion)
