“You’re the Apple of My Eye” program

THE Dagupan City government will continue to make the rounds of barangays to promote both the #GoodbyeGutom Zero Hunger and “You’re the Apple of My Eye” program.
The recent activity was held in Barangay Bacayao Norte with the support of the Barangay Council led by Kap Diosdado Maramba Sr. and the SK officials led by SK Chairman Angel Ver Bonaobra, SK Kagawads Zoren Jay Capua, Caila Calaunan, Ken Ashlei Siapno, Joshua Ricalde, Richie Casilang, Franklin Olivo, and Jimson Dominic Reyes.
The product sponsors that joined the activity were CSI Group of Companies (apples and macaroni), Enfamama for pregnant and breastfeeding mom, Nescafe, Lifebuoy antibacterial soap, Close-up toothpaste, City Nutrition Office for the all-time fav chicken tinola with papaya and rice. PREGNANT WOMEN RECEIVE PRENATAL CARE AND FREEBIES FROM MBTF
SOME 500 pregnant women received free health assistance, from check-up, flu vaccine, tetanus, toxoid vaccine, snacks, vitamins, Enfamama milk, Fairlin baby products and other freebies under the Unliserbisyo campaign of Mayor Belen Fernandez in support of the first 1,000 days of life program, on December 27 at the City Plaza. The recipients advocated for the establishment of the Department of Health-funded Mother and Child Hospital in Barangay Pantal to ease the burden of Dagupeños seeking for quality and accessible health care as part of the mayor’s sustainable health goals. The City Health Office led by Dr. Ophelia Terrado spearheaded the activity in coordination with the City Nutrition Office, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and General Services Office. ‘DAHIL PASKO NA, MAGPABAKUNA!’
FREE Christmas rice was given to all who presented themselves to be vaccinated against influenza viruses. This was initiated by Mayor Belen Fernandez to support the Department of Health’s and the national government’s campaign to promote the vaccine program.
On December 27, the ‘Kalusugan at Kaligtasan for All’ – FREE FLU and PNEUMONIA VACCINE was launched in partnership with the DOH, City Health Office and Barangay Councils in Barangays Caranglaan, Lucao, and Barangay 2 & 3. The campaign will continue in other barangays. According to Mayor Belen, priority targets for vaccination are the senior citizens.
