DAGUPAN City’s Bangus Taekwondo Club won one silver and three bronze medals in the PTA National Age Group National Championships last November 11-12 held at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

Mel Panday won BTC’s only silver in Poomsae Junior Novice while teammates Gio Puzon, Carlo Resurrecion Jr, and Hans Castaneda captured the bronze in Poomsae Cadet Blackbelt,   Kyorugi Cadet Novice 2 Cadet Blackbelt, and Poomsae Gradeschool Novice 1, respectively.

Some 3,000 taekwondo jins saw action in the PTA National Age Group Championships organized by the  Philippine Taekwondo Association in partnership with the Philippine Olympic Committee and MVP Sports Foundation.

Participants in the tournament were divided into two categories (novice and advanced player), and each category was clustered into three divisions (junior, cadet and gradeschool).
