DILG’s child-friendly audit greenlights 36 towns, cities

THIRTY six of the 48 towns and cities of Pangasinan passed the 2024 Child-Friendly Local Governance Audit (CFLGA) conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) regional office.

The passers were led by Dagupan City, followed by Alaminos, San Carlos and Urdaneta cities.

The 32 towns that passed the CFLGA are Aguilar, Alcala, Anda, Asingan, Balungao, Bani, Basista, Bayambang, Binalonan, Bugallon, Burgos, Calasiao, Infanta, Laoac, Lingayen, Malasiqui, Manaoag, Mangaldan, Mangatarem, Natividad, Pozorrubio, Rosales, San Fabian, San Manuel, San Quintin, Sta. Barbara, Santa Maria, Sto. Tomas, Sual, Umingan, Urbiztondo and Villasis.

DILG reported that 97out of the 125 LGUs in Region 1 or 77.6 percent passed  the CFLGA, besting all other regions in the country in the number of LGUs that passed the CFLGA.

CFLGA is a result-based assessment instrument, and annual mandatory audit created to evaluate the effectiveness of LGUs  in putting policies in place and implementing initiatives to improve the welfare condition of children. (Leonardo Micua)
