THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO) will remain on full alert from the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections until after the observance of Undas.

P/Captain Renan dela Cruz, Pangasinan PPO information officer, said the full alert status was issued last week with maximum deployment of PNP personnel and other force multipliers in the province, particularly in polling precincts and voting centers, in cemeteries and other public places.

Dela Cruz said the multi-agency send-off and turnover of security forces and resources to the province in the region consisted of 9,586 uniformed personnel from the Police Regional Office, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and Philippine Coast Guard.

“Asahan po nila na magiging madalas po ang police visibility saan man po magpunta”, said dela Cruz.

Dela Cruz assured the public’s safety despite instances of shooting of BSKE candidates that  occurred in Asingan.

He said that Po/Colonel Jeff Fanged ordered stricter enforcement of checkpoints and patrolling. (Ahikam Pasion)
