Pangasinan PESO hosts first-ever PDLs skills training

THE Pangasinan Public Employment Service Office (PESO) organized the first-ever Community-Based Skills Training Project on Basic Electrical Troubleshooting and Basic Carpentry Repair for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

The one-day training was held on October 13 at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Provincial Prison and Correctional Facility in Lingayen Poblacion area.

Out of 246 PDLs, 50 participated in the event, which was conducted in collaboration with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the authorities of the Pangasinan Provincial Jail.

Participants received livelihood starter kits and will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

Rolando Dela Torre, provincial director of TESDA Pangasinan, encouraged the PDLs to embrace the ‘4Cs,’ which stands for competence, confidence, character, and Christ. (Pangasinan PIO)
