Nine rabies deaths in Pangasinan this year

THE Provincial Health Office urges the public to vaccinate their pet dogs and cats against rabies.

Data from the first to the third quarter of this year show that nine persons have died from rabies, an increase compared to the six deaths registered in the same period last year.

Provincial Health Officer Dr. Anna de Guzman stresses the importance of seeking immediate treatment at government animal bite centers or hospitals if bitten by dogs or cats to receive anti-rabies vaccines. In most cases, deaths occur when individuals do not seek professional medical help and rely on unqualified practitioners.  (Badz Agtalao)

VENDORS have stopped selling oysters in Dagupan due to low supply resulting from inconsistent weather conditions. Oyster production in Dagupan lags behind Bolinao, Alaminos City, and Bataan.
