WITH the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) scheduled for October 30, and the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day on November 1 and 2, the bus terminals in Dagupan City are preparing for a major influx of passengers from various parts of the country.

Jomar Cura, the terminal master of a bus company in Barangay Mayombo, said plans for frequency of trips of units are being finalized for long and short trip routes.

Currently, bus companies are already receiving reservations for advanced ticket reservations to help passengers avoid the expected long queues while waiting for available buses.

The buses in Dagupan City have already obtained special permits from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) as of Friday, October 6.

The influx of passengers is expected to start on Friday or Saturday, around October 27 to 28, in anticipation of the long weekend and non-working holidays. (Ahikam Pasion)
