TODAs oppose Mangaldan’s number-coding scheme

MEMBERS of Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODAs) in Mangaldan are protesting against a three-day number coding scheme implemented by the local government for all tricycles operating in the town. The municipality’s Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) defended the scheme, citing limited space at the tricycle terminal in the town center. However, TODA members argue that space is not an issue, as there are only 80 TODA members in Mangaldan, all of whom can be accommodated at the terminal while waiting for passengers.

Overcharging by Dagupan tricycles raise brows

SOME commuters in Dagupan City raised concerns about ‘excessive’ tricycle fares and have called on the city’s Public and Order Office (POSO) to take action against overcharging tricycle drivers. The complaints submitted to POSO have become more frequent due to ongoing road construction and drainage projects, as well as occasional flooding in various areas, forcing students, workers, and market-goers to rely on tricycles for transportation.

City Vet: Meat shortage in Dagupan due to ASF

THE City Veterinary Office of Dagupan confirmed a shortage of meat, particularly pork, in the city for several weeks. This shortage is attributed to the presence of African Swine Fever (ASF) and the ban on pork from ASF-infected provinces. Meat vendors at the Malimgas Public Market are concerned about their ability to serve regular customers during the upcoming holiday season. The local veterinary office continues to monitor all meats entering the city’s markets.
