Malasiqui inaugurates its first Dancesport clinic
SOME two hundred elementary pupils in Malasiqui town tried out its own Dancesport clinic last week.
The municipality’s local government unit proudly opened the clinic to promote fitness and wellness among its citizens in partnership with Malasiqui Dance Athlete and the Pangasinan Dance Association on September 23, 2023, at Malasiqui Central School.
Dancesport is a fusion of Latin and standard competitive dancing that offers a platform for developing both the athletic aspects of the mind and body and artistic creativity through musical interpretation, choreography, and costume design.
The opening of the Dancesport clinic, designed to “promote physical fitness, teamwork, and self-expression within the burgeoning realm of sports featured guest instructors from the Latinissimo Dancesport Team in Sison, Pangasinan, and the Benguet Dancesport Team.
Mayor Anthony Geslani, who presided over the event, encouraged the youth to join the free Dancesport clinic. (Kim Gealogo)
