LGU Labrador under fire for inaction on complaints
THE Barangay chairman of Bongalon in Labrador town expressed disappointment with the local government for reportedly ignoring continuous complaints from citizens regarding the stench and unhygienic piggery farm in the area.
Chairman Alexander Vitu said complaints have been filed since 2022, leading to a dialogue at the mayor’s office and the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in which the LGU committed to addressing the issue.
However, despite the MOA, the LGU has yet to take action, leaving Vitu and other citizens exploring options to compel the municipal government to act.
As of press time, the LGU Labrador has not responded to the situation. (Ahikam Pasion)
