San Carlos conducts Soap-making workshop
THE San Carlos City government , in collaboration with the City Cooperative, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Development Office (CCELDO) and the Schools Division Office (SDO) of San Carlos, initiated a dishwashing liquid soap-making workshop as part of the “Solution Dilima” program at Salinap National High School.
To support this initiative, the city government SDO, through CCELDO, provided 40 one-kilogram dishwashing kits, five stirring rods, and five pails, to 20 program participants. John B. Agbuya, CCELDO officer, guided the participants through the soap-making process, including procedures, required ingredients, product pricing, and cost analysis.
The workshop sought to enhance the soap-making skills of community leaders and Parent-Teachers’ Association officers, and enable them to start their own soap-making businesses to generate added income. (Kim Gealogo)
