THE Metro Dagupan Volunteer Probation Officers Association Inc. (MDVPOAI) will resume its back-to-school drive for the children of their clients – Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) under parole and/or probation.

In preparation for the school year 2023-2024, the MDVPOAI opens its doors for donations to gather funds and school supplies for said beneficiaries.

Maria Rowena dela Cruz Orduña of the MDVPOAI urged the public to proceed to their office located at AB Fernandez Avenue, Dagupan City, or contact 0977 767 3869 for donations.

Orduña said the back-to-school drive aims to give a fresh outlook for children of PDL clients.

Gusto natin na mabigyan ng panibago pagtingin at pag asa sa buhay ang mga anak ng PDLs”, said Orduña by providing school supplies for elementary pupils, funds for the first-day “baon” or allowance of children in secondary level.

The MDVPOAI, a non-government organization, guides PDLs from Dagupan City, Sta. Barbara, Calasiao, San Jacinto, Mapandan, San Fabian, and Mangaldan who are under probation and parole status on the right path before their release.

The organization is catering to some 700 PDLs, where majority of their clients are individuals arrested due to illegal drugs. (Ahikam Pasion)
