Pangasinense, valedictorian of Army course, cited
THE provincial board cited a Pangasinense for graduating as class valedictorian of the Philippine Army Officer Course “Gaigmat” Class 58-2023.
Lauded in a resolution approved on August 7, was 2Lt Jhun Lyndon C. Zamora of Barangay Catablan, Urdaneta City.
“The achievement of 2Lt Zamora highlights the potential, capabilities and excellence of Pangasinenses and also serves as a beacon of inspiration to the younger generations wishing to enter the military service,” the resolution, authored by Fifth District Board Member Nicholi Jan Louie Sison, stated.
Gaigmat Class 58-2023 was composed of 106 members. (Gaigmat means being watchful of everything at all times).
Zamora is the son of Joven and Haydee Zamora and finished his BS Criminology degree in 2019. He completed the Probationary Officer Training Course at Camp Riego de Dios, Tanza, Cavite in 2022.
He was the Brigade Adjutant and Program Officer of the Officer Candidate Corps, Philippine Army and was awarded the Presidential Saber which is traditionally presented by the President of the Philippines. (Eva Visperas)
