Mangaldan slaughterhouse seeks upgrade to Triple A
THE Mangaldan Double A slaughterhouse is seeking an upgrade of its status into a Triple A slaughterhouse, whose meat that it processes can be sold even overseas, by closely
observing sanitary protocols in accordance with the guidelines set by the National Meat and Inspection Service (NMIS).
It requires all meat transportation vehicles entering the premises of the abattoir to be sprayed chlorine and for the butchers to wear hair nets and uniform and only employees of the municipal government can butcher animals inside the slaughterhouse and anyone who needs to have their animal to be butchered must present official documents showing it is free of African Swine Fever.
A Triple A slaughterhouse will be a big boon to Mangaldan since it will become the first government-owned Triple A municipal slaughterhouse in the country.
