MBTF lists accomplishments with reenacted 2022 budget
“WALANG KAKILALA, SOP, KORAPSYON”
WORKING with only a 2022 reenacted budget, the Dagupan City still managed to perform creditably well within its means, guided by the principles: “Walang kakilala, walang SOP, walang korapsyon”.
In her State of the City Address (SOCA) on July 10 at CSI Stadia, Mayor Belen Fernandez said she adopted well established good housekeeping policies to maximize benefits for the city that resulted in the following among others:
1. Revenue collection from local sources increased by P44 million from January to June this year as compared to the same period last year and credited both OIC City Treasurer Randolph Ubando and One-Stop Business Center OIC Helen Ngilay and their respective staff for the feat, Fernandez said the increased revenue collection is an indication that the economy of the city is better and the trust of business investors has returned.
- To further boost OSBC’s services, Fernandez said she is working for the digitalization of OSBC to make it easier for everyone to transact business in the city, adding she is seeking to obtain ISO 9001:2008 certification for all the city’s departments’ operations.
- The City Health Office headed by Dr, Ophelia Rivera, that made Dagupan City the number one in the whole Region 1 in the implementation of Chikiting Lignatas and Chikiting Ligtas: Measles Rubella Polio Vaccine Supplemental Activity.
- The surgical mission conducted by the CHO and the University of Sto. Tomas Surgical and Medical Mission benefitted at least 3,000 Dagupeños while CHO’s own medical mission in the barangays serve more than 2,500 residents.
- The CT Scan served 3,000 patients. Laboratory Test, 32,522 patients; maternal and child care, 4,734 mothers, child care, 10,000, and outpatient services, 33,115 patients.
- The City Engineer’s Office headed by OIC Josephine Corpuz is regularly conducting regular cleaning of creeks, including the Inarangan Lake, and declogging of drainage carloads along several streets.
- The LBTQ office was established in Dagupan City.
- Free Senior Citizens Card and booklets can already be delivered right in their homes. (Leonardo Micua)
