15 COVID-19 patients in critical condition recorded in R1
THE Department of Health–Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) Region I recorded there were 15 COVID-19 positive patients in critical conditions admitted in hospitals in the region last week.
According to DOH monitoring from June 11 to June 17, 264 new COVID-19 cases were recorded, and the daily average case was pegged at 37 percent.
Meanwhile, DOH-CHD 1’S latest case bulletin reported that only 24 out of 173 ICU beds dedicated for COVID-19 patients were occupied, while 147 out of 1,172 non-ICU COVID-19 beds were utilized.
DOH and health experts continue to advise the public not to be too complacent amid the continuing threat of COVID-19, to continue to religiously follow minimum public health standards and to wear best-fitted face masks and stay in well-ventilated places.
Persons who experience COVID-19-related symptoms are advised to isolate immediately.
Meanwhile, the public is also urged to update their vaccination.
So far, the DOH has recorded more than three million individuals in Region 1, or 102 percent of the target population have been fully-vaccinated while .1.5 million received their booster shots, and 450,000 senior citizens, or 90 percent of the target A1 population have received their primary series of COVID-19 vaccines.
