PHO eyes 100% vaccination vs Measles-Rubella, Polio
THE Provincial Health Office (PHO) is confident to achieve 100-percent of targeted children for vaccination against Measles-Rubella, and polio in the province for the extended ‘Chikiting Ligtas’ mass vaccination program.
Dr. Cielo Almoite, Provincial Health Officer 1, said, as of June 6 the PHO has recorded 227,407 children vaccinated with MRP vaccines, or 88.62-percent of their target population.
Almoite expressed her confidence that the target will be met before the deadline after
PHO coordination with LGUs for additional manpower to assist health workers in reaching more villages, have been granted.
Fortunately, the number of reluctant mothers and grandparents has gone down, making them assured that the only adverse effects such as fever is expected. (Ahikam Pasion)
