Capitol seeks development of electronic census platform for PPH

GOV. Ramon Guico III is set to enter into a memorandum of agreement with the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (POGS) Foundation Inc. for the development of a nationwide electronic census platform of health indicators for the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital (PPH).

According to Board Member Shiela Marie F. Baniqued, author of the resolution that sought the collaboration between the PPH and POGS, said it will result in the development of census application that will be used by PPH facilities to collect census data and which application will anonymize the data before sending the data online to the POGS cloud portal.

With the development of the census application in PPH, data collection system will be standardized for accurate statistics for obstetrical and gynecological indicators of health care in the province can be used.

In 2018, the POGS Foundation Inc. developed a web-based, electronic census platform called the POGS (PNSS) to collect statistical data on obstetric and gynecologic health indicators. Real time reports can be generated from the portal and may be accessed by member institutions.

POGS will also provide project managers, technology consultants, application developers and cloud servers to develop and deploy the application. Online training materials and online support will also be provided during the use of the application. Raw census data collected through the project shall be owned exclusively by the PPH.

The POGS Foundation Inc., is an association of medical practitioners in the field of obstetrics and gynecology in the country, which aims to enhance the professional growth and welfare of its members. (PangasinanPIO)
