
Another drug den busted in Dagupan, 3 arrested
THREE persons were arrested after lawmen busted a drug den that was operating clandestinely in Sitio Guam, Barangay Pantal in Dagupan City on June 6.
The suspects, who will all be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 1992, were led by the suspected maintainer, identified as Arvin Velasquez, 44, a construction worker.
Also arrested were Reynante Valerio, 22, and Richmond Mostoles, 20, both students, of Barangay Malued, and Sitio Guam, Barangay Pantal, respectively.
The three fell in a drug-buy bust operation launched by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Pangasinan and PDEA Region 1, Dagupan City Police Station and PNP Provincial Intelligence Unit.
Confiscated in the raid were 13 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu, one open plastic sachet with shabu residue all weighing more or less 12 grams, valued at P81,600.
Also seized was one black garbage bag containing 50 grams of marijuana tops valued at P3,500; stripped aluminum foil, two sticks of cigarettes, one genuine P1,000 bill and 44 pieces of boodle money used as buy-bust money, three lighters, one improvised tooter, an empty plastic sachet, two plastic scoops, a weighing scale, one improvised bamboo clip, a needle and others.
The arrested suspects are now under the custody of PDEA Region 1. (Leonardo Micua)
