SP commends Oranza for SEA Games cycling win
FOR winning the Philippine Cycling Team’s bronze medal in the recent 32nd South East Asian Games, the provincial board has commended Monday Ronald Oranza of Barangay San Nicolas, Villasis town.
Seasoned cyclist Oranza received copy of a resolution passed by the provincial board congratulating him.
The five-foot-ten Philippine Navy all-rounder is considered among the aces up the Philippine Team’s sleeve at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games being held in Cambodia by grabbing a bronze medal in men’s cycling criterium.
Oranza, 30, who is the youngest among eleven children of farmer Daniel Fabro Oranza and Barangay Health Worker Dominga Nozuelo Oranza, demonstrated his mettle in the Asian Cycling Championships, Le Tour de Filipinas National Championships Philippines, LBC Ronda Pilipinas, Tour of Bomeo, Jelajah Malaysia, Butra Heidelberg Cement Tour de Brunei and Tour of Singkarak.
“It is appropriate and fitting for the Province of Pangasinan through the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to give due recognition and commendation to Mr. Oranza for bringing honor and prestige to his fellow Pangasinenses, especially to his fellow cyclists, the resolution read.” (Eva Visperas)
