BFAR assures enough fish during Holy Week
THE Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) gave an assurance that there is enough supply of fish in Pangasinan during the long holiday and Holy Week.
BFAR cited the Magsaysay Fish Market in Dagupan where the price of fish per kilo last week was P140 per kilo, lower by P20 than the P160 price previous week. BFAR said the 20 pesos reduction in the price of fish last week could be due to the fact that there were more fish that were bought to the market by farmers than in the previous week.
Fish vendors said it is natural for the price of fish to rise a little during the Holy Week because these are meatless days so the demand for fish is higher. (Roma Racca)
