NBI opens new district office in Alaminos
THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) recently opened its new district office along the bypass road in Alaminos City.
Lawyer Rizaldy Jaymalin, NBI Dagupan District Office head, said the office will serve clients from congressional Districts 1 and 2, including issuance of NBI clearances.
Lawyer Fabienne Matib will be its agent-in-charge.
“Our thrust is to bring the services of NBI closer to the people,” Jaymalin said, adding that nearby areas in Zambales can also be served here as the NBI office in that province is in Olongapo City.
Former First District Rep. Jesus Celeste donated the lot originally to the Alaminos City local government unit (LGU) and the city government turned it over to NBI for the construction of two-storey Alaminos District Office whose planning was started three years ago.
Jaymalin said the construction was undertaken later by the Department of Public Works and Highways through the congressional fund of Celeste’s brother and successor, former First District Rep. Arnold Celeste.
The inauguration was attended by First District Rep. Arthur Celeste, Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste, Board Member Apolonia Bacay who represented Gov. Ramon Guico III and NBI Assistant Director Angelito Magno.
Meanwhile, Jaymalin said he is working on establishing another district office to serve the Fifth and Sixth congressional districts. (Eva Visperas)
