DECORP enforces new disconnection process
CUSTOMERS WARNED
THE Dagupan City Electric Corporation (DECORP) has started enforcing its new disconnection process against consumers who fail to pay their respective electric bills for three consecutive months.
DECORP immediately dispatches its own “disconnecting” crew” to houses of erring customers who have been disregarding disconnection notices attached to their statements of accounts.
Atty. Randy Castillan, legal officer and spokesperson for DECORP said some customers habitually delay their monthly payments and simply wait for the DECORP’s designated agency personnel to collect otherwise they don’t bother until the disconnection is effected.
He said this time it will be DECORP’s own personnel that will immediately effect the disconnection.
Customers are still being given up to four days to settle their disconnection bills, compared to previous two days.
Meanwhile, disconnection will already be effected from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. instead of 1 p.m.- 3 p.m. (Ahilam Pasion)
