Four centenarians in Lingayen get P100K cash gifts
FOUR centenarians in the capital town of Lingayen received their P100,000 cash incentive from the national government through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on March 8.
An accompanying congratulatory letter from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr was handed to the four.
Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil, Vice Mayor Dexter Malicdem and DSWD personnel turned over the cash incentive to Salud Puzon of Barangay Poblacion and Asteria Urbano of Barangay Tonton while the families of Pedro Ramos of Barangay Naguelguel and Norberta Urbano of Barangay Namolan who died before the processing of the fund could be finished, received the cash gifts on their behalf.
The Lingayen local government also earlier awarded P10,000 cash incentive and certificate to each centenarian.
Mayor Bataoil urged relatives of surviving centenarians in their families to inform the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office so they can receive cash gifts from the government.
An authorized relative of a centenarian must present the recipient’s birth certificate or passport, Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs ID, marriage certificate, or any identification as proof of date of birth. (Eva Visperas)
