THE renewed Battle Against Drugs (BAD) of Police Regional Office (PRO) 1 received pledges of commitment from 78 pastors and faith-based leaders led by Dr. Danilo Bornales, founder/president of the original BAD.

This was announced by P/Brig. General John Chua, police regional director, following pledges of commitment were signed supporters and stakeholders of BAD, including him,  last January 10 at PRO Grandstand.

General Chua was represented in the activity by P/Brig. General Carlito Gaces, deputy regional director for administration of PRO1.

Under the BAD plan, PNP and BAD will collaborate in exposing the evil effects of illegal  drugs through training, symposium and seminars in public and private schools down to the grassroots level in partnership with local government organizations and stakeholders.

Dr. Bornales called on local citizenry to wake up and help each other to help ensure youth’s and country’s welfare and future are assured. (Leonardo Micua)
