Crime gang leader arrested in Dagupan City
THE head of a crime syndicate engaged in various criminal activities in the Second District was arrested mid-afternoon of January 3 in Barangay Tapuac, Dagupan City where he is hiding.
According to the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO), the suspect, Rodrigo Poral, alias “Badon”, 31, a construction worker of Barangay Libsong East in Lingayen, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest served by joint elements of the Lingayen and Dagupan City Police Stations, Police Regional and Provincial Intelligence Units and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group
Poral is listed as No. 8 Most Wanted Person in Pangasinan in the file of the Pangasinan PPO. He is also tagged as the head of the Poral Criminal Group involved in robbery/akyat bahay and illegal drug activities in the Second District.
To elude arrest, he went into hiding in Dagupan City due to the proximity of Dagupan to his native Lingayen. This made it easier for lawmen to track him. (Leonardo Micua)
