Two Ex-CTG member surrender to police, military
TWO former members of the “Militia ng Bayan” of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) in Umingan town surrendered to police and military on December 26.
The surrenderers were identified as Diosdado Parinas, alias “Ka “Joel”, 47, and Alfredo Valdez, alias “Cardo”, 71, both of Barangay Maseil-Seil, Umingan.
They surrendered in Barangay B, in Tayug, under the program “Oplan Panagsubli”.
Parinas surrendered together with his unserviceable Caliber 38 Smith and Wessons revolver with four live ammunition while Valdez surrendered a hand grenade.
Both surrenderers were “Militia ng Bayan” members under the Sigmaru Unit of the Kilusang Larangang Gerilya (KLG) Sierra Madre.
After their debriefing, Parinas and Valdez signed pledges of allegiance to the Philippine government, they were placed under the custody of the Umingan LGU and were each given two sacks of rice and P15,000 cash gift. (Leonardo Micua)
