Pangasinan PNP deploys 3k personnel to secure peace
THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPO) ramped up its troop deployment in during the Christmas holiday and New Year revelry.
P/Major Ria Tacderan, PPPO Information Officer, said 3,542 police personnel have been deployed throughout the province to secure churches, markets, transport terminals, beach areas and popular local tourist destinations.
Police patrol units will also be deployed along highways to provide assistance to motorists and help maintain road safety.
However, Tacderan clarified that the local police stations will continue their regular peace and order missions in the communities.
The PNP’s Enhanced Managing Police Operations that include police response against criminalities, illegal drugs, illegal gambling, arrest of wanted persons, and loose firearms, will be implemented without letup.
While no gun muzzle taping is expected to be done this year, all police personnel have been reminded of PNP’s strict policy on irresponsible and illegal discharge of firearms. (Ahikam Pasion)
