Enough pork supply during yuletide season assured

THE Samahan ng Industriya at Agrikultura (SINAG) has assured that there is enough supply of pork in the market to be sold to the people during the Christmas season.

This, despite the executive order of Governor  Ramon Guico III banning the entry into Pangasinan of live swine from other provinces due to the still continuing threat of the African Swine Fever.

In an interview by IFM Dagupan, SINAG chairman Rosendo So said there is sufficient stock of hogs in Pangasinan being reserved for the coming holidays because many swine raisers in Pangasinan can supply hogs to be butchered while the Temporary Ban on the entry of live hogs in Pangasinan is still in effect.  However, Engr So said there is a possibility that the price of pork will rise a bit higher by Christmas but at only minimal rate.
