Two dump trucks extracted from fallen Romulo Bridge
THE Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), aided by Bayambang local government, extracted the two dump trucks that fell with the span of the Carlos P. Romulo Bridge in Bayambang that collapsed as they were crossing it.
Bayambang Mayor Niña Quiambao said removal of the two trucks that fell was the first step that had to be done before the DPWH can start building a bailey bridge beside the fallen structure.
She said it will take two more weeks before all the materials that will be needed in the construction of the bailey bridge arrive. The proposed bailey bridge is expected to serve only light vehicles and pedestrian traffic. (Ella Garcia)
