Local Development Council OK’s programs for Dagupan
THE Dagupan City’s Local Development Council (LDC) recently approved the proposed programs and projects of the city government for both the remaining months of 2022 and the year 2023 during the LDC’s meeting on October 3, 2022 at Star Plaza Hotel.
Mayor Belen Fernandez, who chairs the LDC, presented the programs that she described as “vital and indispensable” for the city’s operation for a clean, transparent and accountable good governance.
“We want to ensure Dagupan has a clear, realistic, targeted and cost-efficient roadmap to recovery,” the local chief executive said.
The LDC members include Councilor Red Erfe-Mejia, chairman of the Sangguniang Panlungsod’s committee on appropriations; Rep. Christopher de Venecia, 4th District of Pangasinan; 31 barangay chief executives; department heads and non-government organizations and national government agencies.
The resolutions unanimously approved by the LDC are the Supplemental Annual Investment Program (AIP) No. 1 C.Y. 2022 (P345,998,328.97), Proposed Supplemental Budget No. 1 C.Y. 2022 (P258,224,694.74), Executive Legislative Agenda for 2023-2025, Proposed AIP C.Y. 2023 (P2,188,754,166.54) and Proposed Annual Budget C.Y. 2023 (P1,300,000,000.00).
Among the priority programs include infrastructure, education, health, waste management, youth and sports.
An endorsement resolution of the programs will be submitted to the Sangguniang Panlungsod on or before October 15, 2022. (Dagupan CIO News)
