SOME 200 bikers and biking enthusiasts participated in the Pennidalan Challenge last Tuesday in Asingan, a feature of the town’s celebration of the World Tourism Month this September.

Sponsored by the town’s Team Bangad and the Asingan Municipal Tourism Office, cyclists from Baguio City, Pampanga, Nueva Vizcaya and La Union, were joined by members of the local bikers’ teams.

Municipal Tourism Officer Mike Soliven said the bike fest was an event to promote tourism in Asingan and was held at the bike trail in Barangay Carusucan, acclaimed by many as world standard.

According to Soliven, Mayor Carlos Lopez Jr. is actively supporting bike tourism in Asingan.

Other activities scheduled in the town as part of the celebration of the Philippine and World Tourism Month include Asingan Hataw Sayaw 2022 Zumba Competition held last September 30, participated in by teachers and municipal government employees. (Leonardo Micua)
