800+ cops deployed vs ‘Florita’
THE Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) deployed more than 800 policemen across the province as responders during the onslaught of Tropical Cyclone Florita to maintain order should emergency situations arise in towns and cities.
P/O Colonel Jeff Fanged, provincial director, said trained policemen were on standby ready to respond to calls for Water Search and Rescue operation particularly in school areas.
“The policemen will continue to be on standby until the monsoon period is over,” Fanged said. (Ahikam Pasion)
