Carmen Bridge is passable, not closed!

BEWARE of fake news and unverified stories circulating on social media that seeks to sow further confusion and panic among Pangasinenses affected by the powerful earthquake of varying magnitudes in their areas on Wednesday, July 27.

This was the warning aired by the Rosales local government that noted a post on social media by an unidentified prankster informing the public few minutes  after the quake that the Carmen Bridge, known by its official name as Don Teofilo Sison Bridge, is not passable.

In its own social media post in the afternoon of July 27, Rosales’ website promptly belied the rumor sourced from the social media post.

The municipal hall was later swamped with queries and confirmation about the rumor particularly from motorists since the bridge is a vital link between Northern Luzon and Manila.

The Municipality of Rosales appealed to the people to watch out only the official posts of the local government in its official special medical page and not from any other unauthorized sources.  (Leonardo Micua)
