DOLE selects entries for Bayanihan Service Award
THE Public Employment Service Office (PESO) identified local contenders vying for the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Secretary’s Bayanihan Service Award.
This year, the DOLE field offices in Pangasinan selected the following entries: PESO Alaminos City, official entry for Independent Component City/Component City Category; Rosales PESO for 1st-2nd Class Municipality Category; and Balungao PESO for 3rd-4th Class Municipality Category.
The Bayanihan Service Award program recognizes PESOs “with exceptional and extraordinary contributions that resulted in the acquisition of quality and decent employment of their constituents through innovation, invention, resilience and distinct accomplishment in public service despite the limitations and restrictions brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. “
PESO Pangasinan automatically vies for the Hall of Fame Award being the only qualified in the Ilocos Region.
The Provincial Evaluation Committee was composed of representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), and DOLE. (PIA Pangasinan/AMMB)
