Transport groups thank PRRD for PUV modernization, free ride program
BEFORE President Rodrigo Roa Duterte steps down from office, transport groups and cooperatives in Region 1 expressed their gratitude to the outgoing leader for implementing the public utility vehicle (PUV) modernization program and free ride program in public vehicles.
In an open letter to Duterte on Wednesday, the transport groups said their members were able to improve service experienced by their passengers by having air-conditioned PUVs, well-trained drivers and free-fare commuting experience through these programs.
The signatories were Lingayen Dagupan Transport Service Cooperative, Tayug Pangasinan Transport Cooperative, Pangasinan Group TC, New Bayambang Express TC, La Union Transport Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Bonuan Transport Inc., Central Ilocos TSC, Laoag-Bacarra-Pasuquin Transport Group Inc., Ilocos TC, Pangasinan Express TC, Mangatarem-Aguilar-Lingayen-Alaminos Dagupan TC; and Dagupan City Bonuan Loop TSC.
The groups expressed hope that the next administration will continue the modernization and free ride programs
