JOINT operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the PNP arrested four persons, and dismantled a drug den in an anti-illegal drugs operation on Wednesday, June 8 in Barangay San Antonio, Rosales town.

PDEA Pangasinan provincial officer Rechie Camacho said the suspect, Jovil Orizo, 41, resident of said place, was the subject of the operation.

Camacho said Orizo was a drug surrenderer, and even finished his community-based treatment and rehabilitation.

HVT (high value target) siya. Naka-graduate din siya actually kasi nag-surrender yan noon”, said Camacho.

Arrested along with Orizo, were Jaime Epistola, 50, a resident of Barangay Dilan-Paurido in Urdaneta City, Ernesto Abaoag, 51, and Ronald Doropan, 21, all residents of Rosales.

Epistola was accompanying Orizo when the buy-bust happened, while Abaoag and Doropan were in the middle of the pot session when authorities raided the den.

At least 13 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets, and one open pack containing suspected shabu have been recovered by authorities that weighed 10 grams, valued at PHP 68,000 in the streets.

Assorted drug paraphernalia were also recovered.

The four are under PDEA custody and were charged for violation of R.A. 9165. (Ahikam Pasion)
