Pangasinan still Top 3 vote-rich province in PH

STOP wondering if candidates for national positions such as for President, Vice President and senators are frequenting Pangasinan to campaign. They know that Pangasinan still ranks third in the list of Top 10 Vote-Rich provinces in the country.

Pangasinan already has 2,096,936 registered voters, slightly higher than its 1,946,682 voters in 2016 when then Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte was elected president of the Philippines.

Cebu is on top of the list with 3,288,778 voters followed by Cavite with 2,302,353.

Laguna is fourth with 2,045,687 voters while Bulacan is fifth with 2,007,523 voters. Negros Occidental is sixth in the list with 1,946,639 voters.

Batangas maintained its seventh place with 1,819,071 voters this year followed by Iloilo in eighth place with 1,628,752 registered voters.

In ninth place is Rizal with 1,601,962 registered voters. Pampanga is the 10th in the list of Top 10 vote-rich provinces with 1,580,473 registered voters .

Nueva Ecija was in 10th place in 2016 and  slid down to 11th in the list this year with  1,541,685 voters.

All the top 10 vote-rich provinces in 2022, including Nueva Ecija, account for 20,318,174 votes or 31 percent of the 65,745,526 registered voters in the Philippines.

Analysts said a presidential candidate that gets a commanding lead in these Top 10 Vote-rich provinces gets the best chance to go to Malacanang. (Leonardo Micua)
