NO SP QUORUM

ACTION on the pending Annual Investment Plan to pass the 2022 annual city budget in the amount of P1.38 billion by Dagupan Sangguniang Panlungsod City’s failed anew due to  lack of quorum during its regular session last April 26.

Only five members of the SP, that included Vice Mayor and SP presiding officer Bryan Kua, registered their attendance to another zoom session called to order at past 1:20 p.m.

Only Councilors Teresa Coquia, Jose Netu Tamayo, Celia Lim, Librada Reyna and Marcelino Fernandez responded to the final roll call.

Absent in the last session of the SP before the election were Councilors Karlos Reyna, Michael Fernandez, Dennis Canto, Marvin Fabia, Cisco Flores and Joshua Bugayong,

In the history of Dagupan, it is only during the Brian Lim’s administration when a no new annual budget was passed because of delays in the submission of documentary requirements mandated by law before the campaign period. (Leonardo Micua)
